As released by Arabian Gulf League, Shabab Al Ahli Dubai failed to find the back of the net despite dominating throughout and attempting 15 shots in total against a lackluster Sharjah side as the final game of Arabian Gulf League matchweek 5 ended goalless at Sharjah Club Stadium.
Despite boasting one of the best attacking records this season including scoring four in Emirates’ net last week, Shabab Al Ahli Dubai could not break the resilient defence set up by Sharjah’s new coach Abdulaziz Al Anbari who would have been pleased with their ability to stop the on-form MakheteDiop.

In the second half Shabab Al Ahli dominated possession as Sharjah sat back and soaked up the pressure in an attempt to gain a valuable point and despite all their attempts to take advantage of Diop’s physical power which enables him to win headers in the box, Shabab Al Ahli failed to score against the Sharjah side which posed relatively little threat on the offensive side.
