Jos Buttler marked his 100th Indian Premier League appearance with a brilliant century, guiding Rajasthan Royals to a commanding victory against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

Buttler’s century came off just 58 balls, propelling the Royals to their fourth consecutive win of the season.

Earlier, Virat Kohli had set a target of 184 for the Royals, scoring 113 off 72 balls in Jaipur.

Kohli’s century, though slow-paced by IPL standards, couldn’t stop Buttler and captain Sanju Samson from steering the Royals to victory with a crucial 148-run partnership, despite Samson’s dismissal by Yash Dayal.

Although the Royals faced a brief wobble, slipping from 148-1 to 164-4, Buttler remained composed to finish with a stunning century.

Reflecting on his performance, Buttler, named player of the match, emphasized the mental challenges of the game, stating, “However long you’ve played the game, you still have those anxieties and stresses.”

Kohli’s innings, which included four sixes and nine fours, highlighted his prowess, marking his eighth IPL century and reaffirming his status as a top performer in the tournament.
