The 20-year old striker has been signed from Liberty Professional on a two-year deal. He replaces his fellow country man, Yahaya Mohamed who was released two weeks ago having failed to impress since joining the Dar Es Salaam based side one year ago.
Arthur becomes the second Ghanaian to make the move to Tanzanian Premier League during the 2017/18 mini transfer window, which began on November 15, and ends on December 15 after Stand United acquired Ismila Malik Antiri from Tema Youth.
Azam’s latest acquisition increases the Ghanaian contingency in the Tanzanian Premier League to eleven this season.
The 2015 East and Central African club champions have been woeful in front of the goal in the league, scoring a mere 8 goals in 10 games so far, hence the addition of Arthur who according to the club’s official statement is expected to immediately shoulder the goal scoring burden alongside MbarakaYusuph.
