According to a reports, Liverpool is considering potential replacements for Mo Salah if he departs the club. One notable name on their radar is Real Madrid’s Vinicius Jr., whom they may pursue if Salah moves on.

Liverpool, alongside Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, are willing to submit a substantial offer of £171 million to secure Vinicius Jr.’s services. However, Real Madrid remains firm in their stance of retaining the Brazilian winger and is keen to extend his contract for another five years.

Vinicius Jr. has been in impressive form this season, having scored 18 goals and provided 8 assists in 28 appearances for Real Madrid. Over his tenure at the Spanish club, he has amassed a total of 77 goals and 72 assists across 253 matches, showcasing his significant impact on the field.

Conversely, Liverpool might face the potential departure of Mo Salah, who has attracted considerable interest, notably from Saudi last summer. The club reportedly turned down a substantial £150 million bid from Al Ittihad on the deadline day.

With Salah’s contract set to expire in 2025 and manager Jurgen Klopp departing at the end of the season, there’s speculation about his potential exit during the upcoming transfer window.

Recent reports indicate that Liverpool’s sporting director, Michael Edwards, is prioritizing contract extensions for key players like Virgil Van Dijk, Mo Salah, and Trent Alexander-Arnold. However, failure to secure an agreement with Salah this summer could prompt Liverpool to consider selling him rather than risk losing him on a free transfer the following year.

Salah has once again delivered an outstanding season, contributing 22 goals and 13 assists across 34 appearances in all competitions. Since joining Liverpool, he has consistently achieved double figures in both goals and assists, accumulating an impressive record of 208 goals and 89 assists in 339 games for the club.
