The 7th race of the 24th President of the UAE Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses was held on Saturday, September 23rd 2017 at Churchill Downs Racetrack in Louisville, Kentucky, US, and was a real success as a very large number of spectators were so keen to attend. The Group 1 President of the UAE Cup Stakes for Purebred Arabian Horses competed for 1,600 meters distance, to see the horse “Quick” winning in style. The race was designed for four-year-old fillies, with a total prize purse of US$100,000.
ADSC representatives at the race, Talal Al Hashemi and Saeed Al Mehri, praised the huge success of the race.
Yas TV Channel reporters were also there to cover the race, and to make some interviews before and after the event.
The President of the UAE Cup Series was launched by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan with the objective to promote and celebrate the purebred Arabian horses.
Ever since, the UAE has become a dedicated supporter of its mission to promote the Arabian horses, culture and heritage of the Arabian Peninsula, with the Emirates Equestrian Federation launching the President of the UAE Cup Series for Purebred Arabian Horses in 1994 to promote the noble breed globally, which is now growing in popularity and appeal.
The series is advancing the UAE’s efforts to build global awareness about the purebred Arabian horse, and its significant place in the culture and history of the UAE.
