One of the pioneers on the Polish and European market in the development of games dedicated to VR technology informed about exceeding 200.000 game copies sold from the popular The Wizards series across all platforms. The company is currently working on a dedicated Oculus Quest port of The Wizards – Dark Times, as well as a game set in the universe of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Tempestfall.
“Our game series, The Wizards, has been very popular among VR gamers from the very beginning. Selling 200 thousand copies is a confirmation for us that a distant fantasy world with innovative gameplay systems wins recognition among players on the local and international market. Our statistics show that more and more regions from different parts of the world decide to invest in the VR market segment, while the biggest number of fans of our game comes from the North American markets.” – says Carbon Studio’s Co-Founder Aleksander Caban.
Following the success of The Wizards – Dark Times PC VR release and rising interest in the series, Carbon Studio is working on a dedicated Oculus Quest port of the game. Wireless gesture-based spellcasting is scheduled to arrive in the first half of 2021. The studio also plans to support the title for several months with free content updates – “we want to show all VR gamers that we appreciate their involvement and thank them for their support.
The best way we can do that is by giving them even more entertainment in our title. All of the planned additional content will be available to everyone who bought the game, free of charge. The VR community supports and trusts us, and thanks to them we have the opportunity to keep working on this title by introducing new features and improving on what has already been presented.” – says Aleksander.
Currently, the company is working on a game set in the universe of Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Tempestfall. The action-adventure game allows players to take on the role of a mighty Lord-Arcanum and combat forces of Nighthaunts in Shyish. Games Workshop is the rightful owner of the Warhammer brand, listed on the London Stock Exchange. Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Tempestfall is coming to PC VR, Oculus Quest, and Oculus Quest 2 platforms in 2021.
