H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council indicated that hosting the FIFA Club World Cup 2017 here in the UAE is just another major achievement and a new addition to UAE sports, as well as to strengthening UAE as an international leader in the world of sports.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed lauded the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan for the unwavering support to sport sectors and the process of development in the UAE.
He also praised His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces for their continuous support to the process of development and construction in our country.
Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed welcomed the FIFA delegation and all teams participating in the FIFA CWC UAE 2017, and lauded the local organizing committee for their highly appreciated efforts to prepare for this mega international sport event.
“Hosting the 14th edition of the FIFA CWC here in the UAE- after the two additions of 2009 and 2010, reflects the trust of the world in the UAE and its ability to host high caliber international sport events and championships. We are really very proud of that”Sheikh Nahyan said.
Sheikh Nahyan expressed their proud to see Al Jazira of UAE participating in this championship, and wished them all the best and called on football fans to support them strongly in the opening match so they could win and move on to the next round.
