DR Congo have announced their squad for an international friendly match against Tanzania on March 27, 2018.

Head coach, Florent Ibenge who was among the four elite African coaches who attended the newly introduced CAF Pro coaching licence will bring to Dar his strongest possible squad, including several European-based stars as well as Africa’s most expensive players, Cedric Bakambu.

Bakambu became the most expensive African player when he joined Chinese Super League side Beijing Guoan for £65m from La Liga side, Villarreal.

The English Premier League trio of Bolasie Yannick, Chancel Mbemba and and Masuaku Arthur have all been called.

Yannick will be making his return to the national team setup after being out for a year with ruptured knee ligaments while Gianneli Imbula who plays as a midfielder for Toulouse on loan from English Premier League club Stoke City has been called for the first time.

Tanzania will host DR Congo as part of preparation for 2019 African Cup of Nations ( AFCON ) Group L qualifier against Uganda and Cape Verde.

The last time meeting between the two sides ended in a stalemate at the National stadium in 2012.
