Under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Abu Dhabi Falconry Club will have a new structure its heritage falconry competitions for the season 17/2018.
This move comes within the development programs of the Club- based on studies and evaluation of the Club’s heritage falconry competitions for last season (16/2017).
The evaluation included surveys to assess the opinions of falconers who competed in last year’s heritage falconry competitions organized by Abu Dhabi Falconry Club.
The new structure of Abu Dhabi Falconry Club heritage falconry competitions will allow equal opportunities for all competing falconers to aim for victory.
Having equal opportunity to win motivate all competing falconers to do their utmost, and to aim for victory while competing in heritage falconry competitions of Abu Dhabi Falconry Club.
In this respect, HE Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of Abu Dhabi Sports Council praised this move which will greatly contribute to developing heritage falconry competitions.
Al Awani lauded Abu Dhabi Falconry Club for introducing new initiatives that will help maintain heritage falconry competitions as this will link current UAE generations with the heritage of our ancestors and founding fathers.
On his part, Sultan Al Mahmood, CEO of Abu Dhabi Falconry Club said: “We do evaluate our competitions and activities by the end of each season. This is done through dedicated surveys and questionnaires. Results and findings are used to enhance our points of strength, to avoid defects-if any, and to introduce needed solutions and programs.”
Al Mahmood affirmed that the restructure of heritage falconry competitions of Abu Dhabi Falconry Club is based on results and opinions of falconers who competed in the Club’s heritage falconry competitions last season.
